PARENTAL setting
Parental level
DVD discs equipped with the parental lock function are rated according to their content. The rated content allowed by a parental lock level and the way a DVD disc can be controlled may vary from disc to disc. For example, if the disc allowed you to edit out violent scenes unsuitable for children and replace them with more viewable scenes, or lock out play of the DVD disc altogether.
•You can use the parental lock function only with DVD discs that are equipped with the parental lock feature.
DVD player parental level settings
Level 1: for general viewing (highly restricted level that can be viewed by anyone. Sensational scenes are cut or replaced with other scenes.) → Level 8: for adults only (a level to be viewed by adults only. Unrestricted view of any scene)
(The smaller the number, the greater the level of restriction.)
•When “PARENTAL” is set to “OFF”, DVD discs can be played back regardless of the parental level. The factory default setting is “OFF”.
Passwords
The parental level setting of the DVD player can be protected by a password against unauthorized changes. Once you set a password, it must be input to perform the following operations.
