TO OPEN THE SOFTWARE UTILITY

Windows 98 / 98SE

While the USB port is busy, the LCD will display READING and/or WRITING. When the transfer has finished, the LCD will display READY and you can then safely disconnect the player.

Windows XP

Windows XP allows you to disconnect the device without using the "Safe Removal" icon, so you can disconnect the player safely when the LCD displays READY.

Windows ME / 2000

When the driver installation has been completed, the software utility will be installed in your PC.

You can then use the utility to upgrade the unit.

Start > Program > SigmaTel MSCN Audio Player

Connect the player to your computer and click the corresponding program to begin running the software:

By using the "Safe Removal" icon and following the pictorial instructions below to stop the USB Mass Storage Device, you can then safely disconnect the player.
