HOW TO FORMAT THE PLAYER

You can format your player using

select "FAT"the Windows

Format tool. Please use the setting "FAT", not "FAT 32". Otherwise the player would not be able to function!

HOW TO UNINSTALL THE DRIVER AND UTILITY

Click:

Start > Program > Sigma Tel MSCN Audio Player > Uninstall > OK

HOW TO UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE

The firmware in the player can be upgraded by using the Player Update utility running on your PC. Upgrade the firmware by running the MP3 Player Update (Firmware Download) utility as follows:

Start > Program > SigmaTel MSCN Audio Player > Firmware Download

Check the Current Firmware Version and Upgrade Firmware Version. If you are sure it is the correct version, click on the START button. The firmware will be upgraded on the player.

Once it has finished upgrading, click the CLOSE button to exit.

About the "Format

Data Area" option

Not Selected (default): Upgrades the firmware only, recommended.

Selected:

Upgrades the firmware and formats the storage. When this has finished, please re-format the Removable Disk using the Windows Format tool.
