Listening to an audio CD or CD-ROM

1. Set a disc.

Press (open/close) button to open the CD tray. Place the disc on the tray with the label facing upward.

If you set the single-sized CD, place it on the inner well.

Press (open/close) button to close the tray.

Selecting the track

While playing or pausing, pressing the

button locates the beginning of the current track, and pressing it twice locates the beginning of the previous track. Then

each press of the button locates the beginning of another previous track.

Each press of the button carries you to the beginning of the next track.

2 Activate the CD player section.

3. Start playing.

PLAY/ PAUSE Press the PLAY/ PAUSE button.

When playback finishes, the CD player automatically stops.

Pressing the PLAY/ PAUSE button while playing pauses the playback and

lights. Pressing it again resumes playback from the position where the playback paused.

PLAY/ PAUSE button starts playback from the beginning of the track which was played when the STOP button was pressed.

Pressing the STOP button twice, the first track information is displayed and the playback stops.

Rewinding and fast forwarding

During playback, hold down the or button to rewind or fast forward

the current track. At first, rewind and fast forward is eight times faster than normal speed playback, and then will be sixteen times faster.

Press the PLAY/ PAUSE button where you want to start playback again. When rewinding, the MB-S1 locates the beginning of the track where you pressed

the PLAY/ PAUSE button and starts playback. When fast forwarding, the MB-S1 locates the beginning of the next track where you pressed the

PLAY/ PAUSE button and starts playback.

Playing tracks repeatedly (remote controller only)

Pressing the REPEAT button on the remote controller displays the current setting of the repeat playback. Each press of the REPEAT button switches the repeat playback mode in the following order:

REPEAT ALL, REPEAT 1, REPEAT OFF.

REPEAT ALL: Plays all the tracks on

Remote controller a CD repeatedly. When you select this mode, “REPEAT ALL” indicator lights.

REPEAT 1: Plays the current track repeatedly. When you select this mode, “REPEAT 1” indicator lights.

REPEAT OFF: Turns off the repeat
