Rules for recording digital input

The digital source connected to the MB-S1 is protected by copy guard systems.

These limitations are intended for protecting the copyright and restricting the behavior which violates the copyright.

SCMS (Guide to the serial copy management system)

This system is designed for permitting only one generation of digital- to-digital copying (the recording of the original digital signals as they are) between digital audio devices.

The digital signals recorded on MD, DAT, CD-R, or CD- RW from the digital output terminals on the MB-S1 cannot be recorded on any other media digitally. Here are the examples when performing digital recording in MD recorder.

1.When the digital audio data from the MB-S1 is recorded as analog input source on a MD using MD recorder, the digital signal on the MD can be recorded digitally onto another MD.

Note:

For media or music performance including radio program, CD, record, music tape, and original music cassette, music elements of lyrics and melodies are equally protected by the copyright law. Therefore, to sell, transfer, distribute, and lease those music media above, and use them as BGM in public space such as stores are prohibited.

The digital audio source recorded on a media such as CD, MD or DAT can be connected directly to the digital input terminals on the MB-S1.

However, if the input digital signal to the MB-S1 was digitally recorded from the digital source, you can not record this digital input signal. Also, you can not monitor this digital input signal as a digital input source.

1.The digital audio signal on CD-R/RW recorded digitally from the CD can not be copied to the MB-S1’s HDD. When you record such digital signals, connect the signals to the analog input terminals.
