Turning the Player On and Off

The PMP has 2 low power modes. Pressing the power button brings up a menu to chose between these modes.

Shutdown Mode

This mode completely powers off the player and is the lowest power state. When powered on from this state, the player will need to completely reboot and you will notice a delay before you are able to use the PMP.

Standby Mode

This is a low power state that can be used to conserve battery between uses of the PMP, however it does consume more power than Shutdown Mode. The player will enter and return from standby in a matter of seconds, returning you to the state you were in when Standby was entered.
