Changing a playback speed

Playing in fast reverse or fast forward

DVD-V VCD CD

Press REV or FWD on the remote control during playback.

: Fast reverse playback

: Fast forward playback

Each time you press the REV or FWD button, the playback speed changes.

Press PLAY to resume normal playback.

•Also, playback changes to fast reverse or fast forward when you press and hold SKIP on the main unit.

Notes

•The player mutes sound and omits subtitles during reverse and forward scan of DVD video discs.

•The playback speed may differ depending on the disc.

•This equipment supports playback of DVD-RW (VR mode) discs. However, playback or fast-forward/rewind may not function properly depending how the disc was created, the status of titles on the disc or the condition of the disc itself.

Playing frame by frame

DVD-V VCD CD

Press PAUSE/STEP repeatedly during playback.

The sound is muted during frame by frame playback.

Press PLAY to resume normal playback.

Playing in slow-motion	Playback
DVD-V VCD CD

Press SLOW ( / ) while pressing SHIFT during playback.

If you press SLOW ( ) during playback, you can view the picture in reverse slow-motion. (Only when using a DVD video disc.)

Each time you press SLOW ( / ), the slow- motion speed changes.

The sound is muted during slow-motion playback.

Press PLAY to resume normal playback.
