Loading the Battery

1. Push down the battery cover on the back of iAUDIO 4, slide the cover down and pull it out toward you to remove it.

2. Insert the - /negative pole of the AAA size battery into the top of the battery compartment where there is a spring, and then put the + /positive pole into the bottom.

3. Push the cover from the bottom to the top in the reverse order of opening it.

Connecting USB Cable

Unlike when replacing the battery, push the back cover in the direction of the arrow until it stops. The built-in USB port appears and the cover is fixed.

Be careful about the direction of the USB cable when connecting iAUDIO with the computer. For Windows XP, it is OK to disconnect the USB cable after the transfer window is closed.

For Windows 2000, however, you should run ‘Safely Remove Hardware’ before disconnecting the cable.

When downloading a file, make sure that the status has changed to READY on the iAUDIO LCD window before disconnecting the cable.
