Appendix A. Maintenance

This chapter provides information on projector maintenance.

Replacing the projection lamp

The projection lamp should be replaced when it burns out. It should only be replaced with a certified replacement part, which you can order from your local dealer.

Attention: This product contains a metal arc lamp, which contains a small amount of mercury. Dispose of it as required by local ordinances and regulations. Avoid touching the glass surface of the new lamp. Doing so may shorten its operation life. The USA restricts or prohibits the disposal of some or all lamps containing mercury in the municipal waste stream. Please visit http://www.lamprecycle.org for more information on specific state disposal requirements and recycling facilities. For users in Connecticut, please call Northeast Lamp Recycling toll-free at 1 (888) 657-5267 to place an order for the delivery of a kit that includes a box for the lamp, tape, and a return shipping label.

Attention: Be sure to turn off and unplug the projector at least an hour before replacing the lamp.
