Troubleshooting

If you are having a problem with your unit, check this list for a possible solution before calling for service.

If you cannot solve the problem from the hints given here, or the unit has been physically damaged, call a qualified person, such as your dealer, for service.

-3 Changer/CDRecorderCD

Symptom		Possible Cause		Action

The disc does not play.		•The disc is loaded upside down.		•Load the disc with the label side up.

Loaded discs cannot be ejected.		•AC power cord is unpluged.		•Plug in the AC power cord.
		•Tray Lock is in use.		•Unlock Tray Lock. (See page 15.)

Unable to record on a CD-R or CD-RW.		•Finalized CD-R or CD-RW is loaded.		•CD-R: Replace the disc.
				CD-RW: Unfinalize the disc.

RecorderCD

No sound is heard while recording.

Unable to operate the remote control.

•Selecting MP3 tracks for recording.

•Digital recording is tried to perform from a digitally dubbed disc.

•The disc is loaded upside down.

•Disc is dirty or scratched.

High-speed recording is selected.

•The path between the remote control and the remote sensor on the unit is blocked.

•Cannot record MP3 tracks. Replace the disc.

•Select analog recording. (See page 22.)

•Load the disc with the label side up.

•Clean or replace the disc. (See page 41.)

Select normal speed. (See page 25.)

•Remove the obstruction.

General

The clock is flashing on the display.

Operations are disabled.
