Disc structure

CDs are divided into units called tracks. Generally one track corresponds to one song. Tracks are sometimes further divided into indexes.

DVDs are divided into units called titles, which are subdivided into chapters. They also include menu screens that do not belong to any title. With movies, normally one movie corresponds to one title. On karaoke discs, one song corresponds to one title. Some discs are not divided in this way, however, so take care when using the search and programming functions.
