ƒDo not scratch the signal surface or let it get dirty.

ƒDo not attach paper or seals to discs.

ƒThe player may be damaged if there is any exposed glue, etc., on discs. Extra labels are often attached to rental discs in particular. Check carefully for any exposed glue before using such discs.

Storing discs

ƒAlways place discs in their case and store them vertically.

ƒAvoid storing discs in hot or humid places, places exposed to direct sunlight or in extreme cold.

ƒRead any warnings included with the disc carefully.

Cleaning discs

ƒFingerprints or dust on discs may reduce sound or picture quality. Remove them by gently wiping the disc from the centre toward the edge, using a soft cloth.

ƒDo not use benzene, thinner or other volatile chemicals. Do not use record spray or anti-static spray either.

ƒWe recommend using a cleaning set, sold separately, to clean discs.

ƒFor stubborn dirt, apply some water to a soft cloth, wring out thoroughly, wipe off the dirt, then wipe the disc with a dry cloth.
