Antenna

Make sure the antenna is firmly seated.

Batteries

Your marine radio may be powered by either - nine AA rechargable, nickel cadmium batteries - or nine AA alkaline batteries.

CAUTION

Do not mix NiCad and

Alkaline batteries

To remove the battery cover (back of HH955), press on the cover grip and slide

Set the switch to either Ni-Cd (nickel cadmium) or ALK (alkaline) to match the batteries being used.

Put nine batteries in the battery compartment. Check for correct + - polarity.

Replace the battery cover.

When removing batteries from the battery compartment, tap the radio against your hand to

NOTE dislodge the batteries and allow them to slide out.
