Charging the Battery Packs

Your radio is powered by a specially designed Lithium Ion battery pack.

!Before operating the uh078sx, charge the Lithium Ion battery pack for 5 hours without interruption in the drop-in charger.

The drop-in charger can charge the Lithium Ion battery pack attached to the uh078sx in the front charging slot and also charge a second Lithium Ion battery pack separately in the rear charging slot.

When you charge the 2nd battery, be sure to push it all the way into the charge slot.

1. Place the uh078sx in the drop-in charger.

2. The red LEDs illuminate and stay ON, until fully charged.

!The charger won’t overcharge the battery packs. When charging is completed, the charge LED is no longer illuminated.

!Do not transmit when the uh078sx is in the drop-in charger!

!You can monitor incoming calls while the uh078sx is in the drop-in charger.
