Using the battery pack

The supplied battery pack (lithium ion battery pack) can power the player for operation outdoors or in a place with no outlets.

Preparations	WARNING
	• Do not use a battery pack other than one specifi ed as
	it can result in a fi re or damage to the unit.
	• Do not heat, open, or short-circuit the battery pack. Do
	not throw the battery pack into a fi re. Doing so may
	cause an explosion or a fi re.
	• Attach the battery pack properly following the
	explanation below. Make sure that the battery pack is
	attached fi rmly to the player when using it. Otherwise,
	the battery pack may become detached and cause
	personal injury.

■Attaching the battery pack

1 Turn the player off.

2Disconnect all cables and cords from the player.

3Turn the player upside down and lift the stand.

4Open the connector cover on the back of the player.

(Be sure to attach it whenever the battery pack is not attached.)

5Insert the battery pack’s catches into the player’s corresponding holes. Then attach the battery pack in the direction of the arrow until a “click” is heard.
