Green Seal is a tax exempt, nonprofit educational organization. Its staff and board members follow a detailed Code of Conduct that prohibits financial conflicts of interest. Its process for setting standards includes public review, and their primary testing contractor is Underwriters Laboratories, a nonprofit organization that has been a trusted name in America for over 100 years.
