5.The Chuck Guard (201) has a safety

interlock and the Lathe will not operate unless the guard is properly in place. Install the guard if not already done so. Check to ensure that the Guard

(201)is in its operating position over the Chuck (2). The Pin (251) must be correctly seated in the recess in the Rotating Plate (252) for the Lathe to work.

6.Plug in the Lathe.

7.Move the Power Switch (178) to the “On” position (switch will turn Red) and place the Forward-Off-Reverse Switch (181) in the direction needed.

8.Move the Variable Speed Control Knob (180) to the needed operating speed to

start the Lathe.

To Stop the Lathe

1.Turn the Speed Control Knob (180) to 0.

2.Move the Forward-OFF-Reverse Switch to OFF.

3.Turn the Power Switch (178) OFF.

4.Unplug the Lathe when not in use.
