Creating a New Drive

You need to create at least one drive for each computer that will store data on a hard disk in the Storage Central SC101.

1.From the Wizard Option screen, select Create a New Drive, and click Next.

2.Select which physical hard disk in the Storage Central SC101 to store data for this PC.

3.Enter the name and size for the new drive that you are creating.

4.You will be asked if you want to mirror the drive and if the drive will be shared.

Mirroring: Requires two hard disks installed in the SC101. Duplicates all data for the new drive that you are creating on the other hard disk.

Sharing: Allows more than one computer to access the data at the same time.

5.When prompted, enter a password if you plan to use security (recommended).

6.Follow the wizard prompts. When the wizard is complete, this computer will have a new drive available that you can see in Windows Explorer with the drive letter that you specified.
