RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION (Continued)
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGER
■SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This manual contains important safety and operating instructions for battery charger part number 1412001.
■Before using battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings in this manual, on battery charger, and product using battery charger.
WARNING:
To reduce risk of injury, charge only
■Do not expose charger to rain or snow.
■Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by the battery charger manufacturer may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
■To reduce risk of damage to charger body and cord, pull by charger plug rather than cord when disconnecting charger.
■Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CIRCULAR SAWS
■KEEP GUARDS IN PLACE AND IN WORKING ORDER. Never wedge or tie lower blade guard open. Check operation of lower blade guard before each use. Do not use if lower blade guard does not close briskly over saw blade.
WARNING:
If saw is dropped, lower blade guard or bumper may be bent, restricting full return. If lower blade guard or bumper becomes bent or damaged, replace them before reuse.
■KEEP BLADES CLEAN AND SHARP. Sharp blades minimize stalling and kickback.
DANGER:
KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM CUTTING AREA. Keep hands away from blade. Do not reach underneath work while blade is rotating. Do not attempt to remove cut material when blade is moving.
WARNING:
■An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in a risk of fire and electric shock. If extension cord must be used, make sure:
a.That pins on plug of extension cord are the same number, size and shape as those of plug on charger.
b.That extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical condition; and
c.That wire size is large enough for AC ampere rating of charger as specified below:
Cord Length (Feet) | 25' | 50' | 100' |
Cord Size (AWG) | 16 | 16 | 16 |
Blades coast after turn off.
■USE RIP FENCE. Always use a fence or straight edge guide when ripping.
■SUPPORT LARGE PANELS. To minimize the risk of blade pinching and kickback, always support large panels as shown in Figure 11, Page 11. When cutting operation requires the resting of the saw on the workpiece, the saw should be rested on the larger portion and the smaller piece cut off.
■LOWER BLADE GUARD.
WARNING:
| NOTE: AWG = American Wire Gage | If lower blade guard must be raised to make a cut, always | |
