EXTENSION CORD CAUTION

When using a power tool at a considerable distance from a power source, be sure to use an extension cord that has the capacity to handle the current the tool will draw. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage, resulting in overheating and loss of power. Use the chart to determine the minimum wire size required in an extension cord. Only round jacketed cords should be used.

When working with a tool outdoors, use an extension cord that is designed for outside use. This is indicated by the letters "WA" on the cord's jacket.

Before using any extension cord, inspect it for loose or exposed wires and cut or worn insulation.

SC180VS specifications

The Ryobi SC180VS is a versatile and powerful scroll saw that stands out in the realm of woodworking tools. It is specifically designed to cater to both hobbyists and professionals, delivering precision and ease of use.

One of the most notable features of the SC180VS is its variable speed control, which allows users to adjust the blade speed from 400 to 1,600 strokes per minute. This functionality enables woodworkers to make intricate cuts on various materials, including wood, plastic, and even metal, by simply adjusting the speed to suit the specific project requirements. The ability to customize blade speed enhances control and reduces the chances of material splintering or burning.

The SC180VS comes equipped with a robust 1.2-amp motor that provides efficient power for cutting through different thicknesses of material. Whether you're working on detailed patterns or larger projects, this scroll saw is engineered to perform with reliability. The tilt table, which can be adjusted up to 45 degrees, further enhances versatility, enabling users to make bevel cuts with great precision.

Another standout feature is the easy blade-change mechanism. The SC180VS utilizes a tool-less blade changing system, which allows for quick and hassle-free swapping of blades. This is an essential characteristic when transitioning between different projects, as it minimizes downtime and keeps the workflow moving smoothly.

Safety is also a priority with the Ryobi SC180VS. The saw includes a transparent blade guard that not only protects users from potential hazards but also provides clear visibility of the cutting area. An integrated dust blower helps maintain a clean workspace by keeping sawdust away from the cutting line, ensuring improved accuracy during operation.

The compact design of the SC180VS makes it easy to store and transport, making it an ideal choice for both small workshops and mobile operations. Its stable base and heavy-duty construction ensure durability and reduce vibrations, providing a smooth cutting experience.

Overall, the Ryobi SC180VS is an exceptional scroll saw, combining innovative features, impressive technology, and user-friendly design. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned woodworker, this machine promises to enhance your crafting experience while delivering exceptional results. With its blend of performance, speed control, and safety features, the SC180VS is a reliable addition to any woodworking toolkit.
