About This Document

This document describes how to use the HP Insight Foundation Suite for Integrity with Linux (IFIL) V2.7 product.

The HP Smart Setup software prepares your system for installation of the Linux operating system (OS). The HP Smart Setup EFI-based setup utility (EBSU) utility assists with tasks such as configuring storage adapters, upgrading firmware, preparing a system hardware inventory, and installing diagnostics tools.

The HP Support Pack installs additional utilities and tools (such as HP system management software) after the Linux OS is installed. It includes the HP Integrity Linux Management Tools, which provides HP Systems Insight Manager for additional functionality.

The document printing date and part number indicate the document’s current edition. The printing date changes when a new edition is printed. Minor changes may be made at reprint without changing the printing date. The document part number changes when extensive changes are made.

Document updates may be issued between editions to correct errors or document product changes. To ensure that you receive the updated or new editions, you should subscribe to the appropriate product support service. See your HP sales representative for details.
