		d. Click OK.
	4.	Follow the onscreen instructions to install the printer
		software.

problem When I tried installing the printer software the installation stopped. When I tried installing again, the New Hardware Wizard was gone and the USB port was not

available.

possible causes

•Operating system terminated the installation before it was complete.

•The printer driver failed to install.

solution

1.Disconnect the USB cable from the computer, then restart the computer.

2.Close any virus protection or firewall protection programs or other software programs that are running on the computer.

Note: To close your anti-virus software, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for disabling the software.

3.Connect the USB cable to the printer.

4.Insert the printer software CD into the computer’s CD-ROM drive. Be careful to position the CD correctly.
