The Phoneline Gateway ports, to which network cables are connected, are located on the rear panel of the Gateway.

Phone (green)

You may plug the telephone into the phone port, which uses a microfilter for signal clarity. Do not plug the telephone into any other port.

HPNA: Device (green)

Any phoneline-enabled device, such as a computer or print server, may be connected to the HPNA: Device port using a phoneline cable.

HPNA: Wall (green)

You will connect this port to a wall phone jack using a phoneline cable.

WAN (dark gray)

Connect the Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) or cable modem to the Wide Area Network (WAN) port.

LAN (blue)

You can connect an Ethernet PC or other Ethernet device to your phoneline network through the LAN 10/100BaseT port.
