Power button board (includes cable and plastic power button)

Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:

1.Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2.Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.

3.Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

4.Remove the following components:

a.Bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29)

b.Battery (see Battery on page 46)

c.WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 32)

d.Fan (see Fan on page 41)

e.System board (see System board on page 48)

Remove the power button board:

1.Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screw (1) that secures the power button board to the computer.

2.Pull up on the cable to disconnect it from the adhesive that secures it to the computer (2).
