7Pull the add-in card bracket up and out.

8If you’re adding a new card to a previously unused slot, remove the expansion slot cover.

Warning: Be careful of the sharp edges on the expansion slot cover.

If you’re replacing a card, first disconnect any external and/or internal cables attached to the card. Hold the metal bracket and the far top corner of the card. Carefully remove the card by pulling the card straight out of the expansion slot.

9Insert the new card into the slot and push straight down. Make sure the card is properly seated.

10To replace the add-in card bracket, slide the bracket into the hole (C) and then push down until the bracket clicks into place.

To reassemble the computer:

1Replace the side panel (see “Replacing the Side Panel” on page 23).

2Reconnect the power cord and all other cables.

3Reconnect the modem/phone cable.
