To clean the ADF

Clean the ADF only if visibly marked, or if you are experiencing a decrease in copy quality, such as streaking.

1Lift the ADF.

2Locate the top and bottom ADF glass strips.

3Clean the glass strips by wiping them gently with a clean, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Use an ammonia-based surface cleaner to dampen the cloth.

4Locate the white, vinyl ADF backing.
