Introduction

General Description

The HP DDS-format drives have been developed by Hewlett Packard for data storage drives that build on DAT technology. The DDS-3 drive has 12-GB native capacity and 24±GB compressed capacity. The DDS±3 drive is compatible with all DDS±1 and DDS±2 drive formats. Figure 1±1 shows the DDS-3 drive.
