Before requesting service, make the following checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the solutions indicated in the chart do not solve the problem, refer to “Customer Services Directory” on page 33 if you reside in the U.S.A., or refer to “Product information” on page 11 if you reside in Canada. In other areas, consult your dealer.

Scenes are skipped intermittently. [DVD-VR][DVD-V]

Play may take time to begin when an MP3 track has still picture data. Even after the track starts, the correct play time will not be displayed. This is normal.

Folders deeper than the eighth layer are displayed as the eighth layer.

This is normal for Video CDs.

Press [STOP] twice and then press [1 PLAY].

These functions do not work with some DVD-Videos.

Even if a second soundtrack is not recorded, two numbers are normally shown.

This is normal for DVD-Audio.

If you change the volume or sound effects during Advanced Disc Review, the function continues without the on-screen display. Cancel the function.

Subtitle position is wrong.

Adjust the position. (“Subtitle Position” in Display Menu)

Sound abnormal or improper

Sound is distorted.

Noise may occur when playing WMA.

Effects do not work.

Some audio effects do not work or have less effect with some discs.

 

 

 

Humming is heard during play.

An AC power supply cord or fluorescent light is near the main unit. Keep other appliances and

 

cables away from the main unit.

 

No sound

There may be a slight pause in sound when you change the play speed.
