DUCTWORK

Ductworkshouldbe designed_lnd sized accordingto applicablemethodsfrom the Air Conditioning Contractors of

America(ACCA).

It is recommendedthat supply and return duct connectionsat the unit be madewith flexible joints.

The supptyand return air duct systemsshouldbedesignedfor the CFM staticrequirementsof the job. Theyshould

NOT be sized to match the dimensionsof the duct connectionson the unit,

NOTE:SUPPLYDUCTFLANGESARESHIPPEDFLATAND MUSTBEBENTUPBEFOREATTACHINGTHESUPPLYDUCT.

To connectthe returnduct tothe unit. usea straightpiece of duct 22" wide by 7" deep.Insert the duct intothe return openingin the bottomof the unit. Flangethe duct overtheexistingflanges aroundtheopeninginsideunit. Make sure that all sidesof the duct are flangedovertopermitremovalof coolingchassisif required.Usea flexible connectionto attachremainderof return duct. The return duct shouldbe sealedtothe unit casingand terminateoutsidethespace containingthe furnace.

NOTE:THE RETURNDUCT MUST ALLOWFORTHE UNIT DRAINPAN CONNECTIONSAND DRAIN TUBE.

CAUTION:DONOT SCREWINTO THE SIDE OF THE DRAINPAN.

AIR FILTER

All indoor return air must be filtered.A permanent-typefilter is furnished with the unit, locateddirectly behindtheac- cess panel. Removingthe panel permits access to the filter.

The filtershouldbe cleanedat leastthreetimesduring eachof the heating and coolingseasons,or more frequently if unusual conditionsare encountered. To clean the permanent filter, shake filter to remove excessdirt and/or use vacuum cleaner. Wash filter in soap or detergent water and replace after filter is dry.

The filter supplied need not be oiled after washing.
