Periodic inspectionand maintenancenormallyconsistsof changing or cleaningfilters and (under someconditions) cleaning the coils.

FILTER- supplied. Inspect oncea month.Replacedisposable,or clean permanenttypeas necessary. DONOTreplace permanenttype with disposable.

MOTORS- indoorand outdoortan motors are permanentlylubricatedand requireno maintenance.

OUTDOORCOIL- Foreignmaterial shouldnot be allowedtoaccumulateon the outdoor coilsurfaceor other parts in the air circuit. Cleaningshould beas oftenas necessaryto keepthe coil clean. Usea brush,vacuum cleanerattachment, or other suitable means. If water is used to clean the coil, be sure power to the unit is shut off prior to cleaning.

NOTE: CARESHOULDBE USEDWHENCLEANINGTHE COILSSO THAT THE COILFINS ARE NOTDAMAGED.

OUTDOORBASE DRAIN- Foreignmaterial should not be allowedto clogthe drain hole. Inspect and clear'drain open- ing prior to heating season.
