Fit the supplied top support bar into the stud work at the correct height, Diagram 8, because no combustible material can be used above the fire

NOTE: If a frame is to be fitted, attach the brackets before installing the appliance.

Attach the 4 frame fixing brackets to the fire, Diagram 9

Fix foam seal to the outer flange of the fire

Position the fire

Fit non-combustible board to the stud work around the fire This should extend a minimum of 400mm above the appliance and at least 50mm to the sides of the appliance (from the outer box, not the flanges).

For non-combustible area see Diagram 2b.

The remaining area can be finished using plasterboard:

Apply a plaster finish to the front of the chimney breast

Secure the fire back to the stud work using four screws through flange, bracket, support bar

Decide on the position for the wall box containing the batteries and wall switch

Connect the wire from the fire to the battery pack,

Connect the wire from the fire to the touch pad/ connector, Diagram 11

Correctly position the four new AA size batteries

Re-assemble the battery holder as shown in Diagram 12

Ensure the touch pad cable is tucked to the left on fitting the wall plate back onto the wall
