MOUNTING AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (PENDANT)

NOTE: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) does not require all fixtures to have ground wires. These fix- tures meet all UL specifications.

NOTE: This fixture can be mounted 2 ways: Pendant (see fig. 1) or semi-flush (see fig. 2). Follow appli- cable mounting and assembly instructions below. Wiring instructions (see fig. 3) are the same for both mounting options.

1.Turn off power at circuit box to avoid possible electric shock.

2.Thread mounting nipple (A) into center hole on mounting bar (B) approximately 1/4 inch (see fig. 1).

3.Secure lockwasher (C) and hex nut (D) to mounting nipple (A) on front side of mounting bar (B).

4.Secure mounting bar (B) to outlet box (E) with outlet box screws (F) (not included).

5.Spread arms (G) to an equal distance apart.

6.Secure fixture ring (H) to arms (G) with fixture screws (I).

7.Secure fixture loop (J) to nipple (K).

8.Open one link on bottom end of chain (L). Attach to fixture loop (J) then securely close link on chain (L).

9.Remove screw collar ring (M) from screw collar (N) if preassembled.

10.Push screw collar (N) (with loop pointed downward) through center of canopy (O).

11.Thread fixture wire and ground wire up through every other link on chain (L), screw collar ring (M), canopy (O) and screw collar (N) leaving enough excess wire at the top to thread through nipple (A) and connect wires.

12.Attach screw collar ring (M) to screw collar (N).

13.Open one link on top end of chain (L). Attach to loop on screw collar (N). Securely close link on chain (L).

14.Identify color coding of fixture wires (see fig. 3).

15.To connect wires, take black fixture wire (group A from fig. 3) and place evenly against black outlet box wire. Do not twist wires.

16.Fit wire connector (Q from fig. 1) over wires and twist until there is a firm connection. If wire connector (Q) easily comes off, reattach and check again for a firm connection.

17.Repeat steps 15 and 16 with the white (group B from fig. 3) fixture wires and outlet box wires.

18.Partially thread green grounding screw (R) into side hole (S) on mounting bar (B) (see fig. 1).

19.Wrap ground wire from fixture around green grounding screw (R) leaving enough excess wire to then connect ground wire and outlet box wire with wire connector (Q), if applicable.

20.Tighten green grounding screw (R). Do not over tighten.

21.Tuckwires inside outlet box (E).

FIXTURE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Warning: This fixture is for indoor use only.

1.Remove screw collar ring (M) from screw collar (N).

2.Secure screw collar (N) to mounting nipple (A) (see fig. 1).

3.Raise canopy (O) over screw collar (N) and secure with screw collar ring (M).

4.Thread hex nut (V) onto nipple (W) then thread nipple (W) onto coupling (X) (see fig. 1).

5.Install lamp(s). Do not exceed recommended wattage.

6.Raise glass shade (Y) up to fixture ring (H) allowing nipple (W) to protrude through center hole in glass shade (Y).

7.Place decorative cap (Z) over nipple (W) then secure with round nut (Z1) and finial (Z2).

8.Turn power back on at circuit box.
