How does the system send audio without wires?
The sender converts the audio signal to a 4.3 – 20.9MHz carrier frequency, then sends it through your home power line to a receiver that converts it back to its original form, and then sends it to the amplifi er and speakers.
Why won’t my system work?
•Make sure each AC power cord connects to the system device and wall outlet securely.
•Make sure the devices are plugged directly into a wall outlet. Do not use a power strip or any other adapter.
Why don’t I hear any sound from the system?
•Be sure your sender and receivers are turned on.
•Be sure all wires are connected securely.
•Be sure the audio source is turned on.
•Adjust the receiver’s volume control.
•Be sure the amplifi ed speaker system is placed within the sender’s 300- foot transmission range.
•Check power connector and fuse if speaker power indicator is not light,
How can I correct for distorted sound?
Reduce the audio source’s volume. Make sure your sender’s Audio Input Level is set to High.
How can I correct for popping noises or drop outs in the sound?
•Relocate your sender. Your amplifi ed speaker system must be within 300 feet of the sender.
•Try another outlet. Some outlets may have excessive noise from switching devices that your Home Plug can’t overcome.
•While using Home Plug, turn off compact fl uorescent lights, halogen lights and other devices that may cause interference.
How can I increase my output volume?
To boost your volume, set the sender’s Audio Input Level to Low.
How many speakers / receivers can I connect?
Although you can only connect one transmitter, under some conditions you may be able to connect up to 4 or more receivers and speakers.
Can I use this system with other HomePlug or Plug ‘n Power products?
Your HomePlug audio system is compatible with other HomePlug products. While there are bandwidth limitations, you should not experience problems, unless you have more than 16 HomePlug devices on the powerline or
you have noisy electronics on the power line. Plug ‘n Power operates in different bands than HomePlug and shouldn’t create interference.
