We can also perform many functions with the Xterm using the local commands. One of them is to view the contents of a directory using the 'ls' command. Also we can use the commands like 'cp' and 'mv' for file management purpose. The Xterm is a shell similar to the Linux Terminal, but with far less number of applications. Here is a list of some of the common local commands that can be performed on the thin client:
