렌즈 끼우기/빼기
► 렌즈를 끼우려면
1렌즈 덮개, 렌즈 마운트 덮개와 본체 마운트 덮개를 제거하세요.
2카메라 본체의 렌즈 마운트 인덱스(빨간색)와 렌즈 마운트
결합점(빨간색)을 일치시킨 후, 찰칵 소리가 날 때까지 그림과 같이 렌즈를 돌려서 끼우세요.(그림 B 참조)
► 렌즈를 빼려면 렌즈 분리 버튼을 누른 채로 그림과 같이 렌즈를 돌리세요.(그림 C 참조)
줌 링 사용하기
줌 링을 돌려 원하는 구도(렌즈 초점 거리)를 설정하세요.
줌 링을 돌리면 초점이 미세하게 변할 수 있으므로 촬영 전에 초점을 다시 맞추세요.
i-Function 사용하기
렌즈의 i-Function버튼을 누르면 조리개 값, 노출 보정, 셔터 속도, 화이트 밸런스 또는 ISO를 설정할 수 있습니다.(그림 D-a참조) i-Function기능에 관한 자세한 설명은 해당 카메라 설명서를 참조하세요.
초점 방식 설정하기
렌즈의 AF/MF 스위치를 AF 또는 MF로 맞추세요.(그림 D-b참조) 자동 초점(AF): 반 셔터를 누르면 자동으로 초점을 맞춥니다.
수동 초점(MF): 초점 링을 돌려 수동으로 초점을 맞출 수 있습니다.
초점 거리 제한 기능 사용하기
초점을 맞출 범위를 설정하여 피사체의 초점을 보다 빠르고 정확하게 맞출 수 있습니다. 렌즈 옆면의 커스텀 포커스 레인지 리미터 스위치를 밀어서 원하는 옵션을 선택하세요.(그림 D-b참조)
FULL: 촬영 가능 범위 내에서 초점을 맞춥니다.
CUSTOM: 수동으로 설정한 범위 내에서 초점을 맞춥니다.
수동으로 초점 범위를 설정하는 기능이 지원되지 않는 카메라의 경우,
2.4m~무한대 범위 내에서 초점을 맞춥니다.
SET: 수동으로 초점 범위를 설정할 수 있습니다.

광학식 손 떨림 보정하기(OIS)
광학식 손 떨림 보정 기능을 사용해 카메라의 흔들림을 최소화하여 초점이 정확한 사진을 촬영할 수 있습니다. 렌즈 옆면의 OIS 스위치를 ON으로 설정하면 OIS 기능을 실행할 수 있습니다.(그림 D-b참조)
렌즈 후드 사용하기(그림 E 참조)
불필요한 빛을 차단하여 화질 저하를 방지하려면 렌즈 후드를 사용하세요. 렌즈를 사용하지 않을 때는 후드를 뒤집어서 렌즈에 끼운 상태로 보관하세요.
플래시 사용 시 카메라와 피사체 사이의 거리가 가까우면 렌즈나 렌즈 후드에 의해 빛이 차단될 수 있습니다. 플래시를 사용할 때에는 렌즈 후드를 제거하고 피사체와 렌즈 사이의 거리를 조절하세요.
삼각대 사용하기
렌즈 본체로 연결하기
렌즈의 삼각대 거치대 장착부에 삼각대를 바로 연결할 수 있습니다. 카메라 본체를 삼각대에 연결할 경우, 무게 중심이 맞지 않아 앞으로 넘어질 수 있습니다. 반드시 렌즈와 삼각대를 연결하세요.
렌즈를 삼각대에 바로 장착한 경우, 삼각대에 따라 줌 링을 사용할 수 없습니다.
삼각대 거치대로 연결하기
1렌즈의 삼각대 거치대 장착부에 삼각대 거치대를 끼우세요.
2삼각대 거치대 결합 다이얼을 LOCK 방향으로 돌려 완전히 고정하세요.(그림 F 참조)
3삼각대 거치대의 삼각대 장착부에 삼각대를 연결하세요.
삼각대 거치대를 렌즈에서 빼려면 삼각대 거치대 결합 다이얼을 LOCK 반대 방향으로 돌리세요.
삼각대 거치대를 장착하거나 분리할 때는 카메라나 렌즈가 떨어지지 않도록 주의하세요.
삼각대 거치대로 구도 바꾸기
삼각대 거치대로 삼각대를 연결한 경우, 삼각대 링을 사용하여 사진의 구도를 빠르고 쉽게 바꿀 수 있습니다.
1삼각대 링 고정 다이얼을 LOCK 반대 방향으로 돌려 느슨하게 푸세요.
2원하는 사진 구도(가로 또는 세로)가 될 때까지 카메라를 돌리세요. (그림 G 참조)
3카메라의 위치를 정한 후 삼각대 링 고정 다이얼을 LOCK 방향으로 돌려 완전히 고정하세요.(그림 H 참조)
필터 사용하기(별매품)
필터의 크기가 렌즈와 호환되는지 확인한 후(‘제품 규격’ 참조) 렌즈의 앞면에 장착하세요.
• 렌즈에 장착된 필터는 정밀 광학 제품이므로 먼지나 오물, 긁힘에 주의해 주세요. 또한 필터를 2개 이상 겹쳐 사용하면 렌즈에 따라 화질 저하와 비네팅(액세서리에 렌즈의 화각이 가려져 이미지의 모서리가 어두워지는 현상)이 발생할 수 있으니 2개 이상의 필터를 동시에 장착하지 마세요.
• 프레임이 두꺼운 필터의 경우 광각 렌즈에 비네팅이 발생할 수 있습니다.

Before Using This Device

Special Features
With an ultra-fast F2.8 maximum aperture and 35 mm equivalent 77–231 mm focal range the lens is suitable for multiple uses, such as sport, wildlife and portrait photography.

Attaching and Removing the Lens
► To attach the lens,
1Remove the lens cap, lens mount cover, and body cap.
2Align the red mark on the lens with the red mark on the camera body. Then, rotate the lens as shown in the illustration until it locks into place. (See illustration B)
►To remove the lens, press and hold the lens release button, and then rotate the lens as shown in the illustration. (See illustration C)
Using the Zoom Ring
Set the composition of the photo (the focal distance of the lens) by rotating the zoom ring on the lens.
When you use the zoom function, focus can be slightly changed. Adjust the focus again before you capture a photo.
Using i-Function
When you press the i-Function button on the lens, you can set the aperture value, exposure value, shutter speed, white balance, or ISO. (See illustration D-a) For more information about i-Function, refer to the camera manual.
Setting the Focus Method
Set the AF/MF switch on the lens to AF or MF. (See illustration D-b) Auto Focus (AF): The focus is adjusted automatically when you half-press [Shutter].
Manual Focus (MF): The focus can be adjusted manually by rotating the focus ring.
Using the Custom Focus Range Limiter Function
You can adjust the focus quickly and precisely by setting the range for the focus distance. Set the Custom Focus Range Limiter switch on the lens to an option. (See illustration D-b)
FULL: The focus is adjusted to between the minimum focus distance and infinity.
CUSTOM: The focus is adjusted within the range you set manually.
If your camera does not allow you to set the focus distance range, the focus is automatically set between 2.4 m-infinity.
SET: You can set the focus distance range manually.

Using the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) Function
The user can minimize the shaking of camera by using the OIS function. Set the OIS switch on the lens to ON. (See illustration D-b)
Using a Lens Hood (See illustration E)
To prevent deterioration of image quality by blocking out unnecessary light, use a lens hood. When you are not using the lens hood it can be reverse-mounted on the lens for storage.
When you use a flash in situations where the distance between the subject and the camera is close, the flash light may be partially blocked by the lens or a lens hood. To ensure proper lighting, remove the lens hood or adjust the distance between the camera and subjects.
Using a Tripod
Connecting the tripod to the lens
You can connect the tripod directly to the tripod collar connection on the lens. If you connect the tripod to the camera, the camera and the tripod may be unbalanced and can fall. Ensure that the tripod is connected to the lens.
Depending on the tripod, if you connect the lens to it directly, the zoom ring function may not be available.
Connecting to the tripod mount collar
1Attach the tripod mount collar to the tripod collar connection on the lens.
2Rotate the tripod mount collar lock dial in the direction of the
LOCK arrow until it locks in place. (See illustration F)
3Connect the tripod to the tripod connection on the tripod mount collar.
To disconnect the tripod mount collar from the lens, rotate the tripod mount collar lock dial in the opposite direction of the LOCK arrow.
Ensure that you hold the lens and the camera when connecting or disconnecting the tripod mount collar.
Changing the photo′s composition using the tripod mount collar
When you connect the tripod to the tripod mount collar, you can use the tripod ring to quickly and easily change the photo′s composition.
1Loosen the tripod ring locking dial by rotating it in the opposite direction of the LOCK arrow.
2Adjust the camera′s position, horizontally and vertically, until you have composed your photo. (See illustration G)
3Rotate the tripod ring locking dial in the direction of the LOCK arrow to lock it in place. (See illustration H)
Using a Filter (optional)
Before putting a filter on the lens, make sure it is compatible. Refer to "Specifications" for compatible filter size.
•A filter is a precise optical product. Keep away from dust, dirt,
or scratches. Also, do not try to mount two or more filters at the same time. Doing so may deteriorate the image quality and cause vignetting (a reduction of an image′s brightness or saturation at the periphery as the viewing angle of the lens is hidden).
•In case of a thick framed filter, the vignetting can occur with a wide-angle lens.
