IINSPECTION

Remove the Hygeaire ® fixture from its shipping carton. Inspect the fixture, and wire leads for damage. Do not oper- ate if there is any damage to the fixture, and/or wire leads. Lamp(s) are packed separately, to ensure maximum protec- tion to the lamp(s). Keep the lamp(s) aside until ready for installation. When installing lamp(s) into the fixture, exercise care not to touch the lamp's glass. Oils deposited, from fingers, on the glass could effect ultraviolet transmission.

The Hygeaire ® Model LIND 24-EVO fixture includes:

1 - Model LIND 24-EVO single lamp fixture with 6 inch lead wires

1 - Germicidal Ultraviolet Lamp

The Hygeaire ® Model LIND 24-EVO-2PM fixture includes:

1 - Model LIND 24-EVO-2PM dual lamp fixture with 4 ½ foot lead wires

1 - Pendant Mounting Kit, consisting of:

1 - #19 Crossbar

1 - #11 Canopy

2 - 3/8" IP Stems 18 inches long

2 - #14 3/8" IP Slip Rings

6 - #22 3/8" IP Locknuts

INSTALLATION

LOCATION

The Hygeaire ® fixture is recommended for use in rooms with good ventilation, with a ceiling height of 9 feet or more and where occupants remain for prolonged periods.

Access to the room does not need to be controlled while the fixture is operating.

The louver panels of the Hygeaire ® fixtures protect room occupants from ultraviolet exposure, by directing ultraviolet radiation into the upper areas of the room.

Any plans for the installation of the Hygeaire ® fixtures, should take into account the reflectance of the ceiling. Some finishes may have reflectances that are objectionably high, making exposure of more than a few hours unsafe. If any help is needed in determining the reflectance of a surface, please contact the Factory.

Ultraviolet energy, produced by the germicidal lamp(s), can fade some colors and/or alter the surface of some materials especially those directly irradiated by the lamp(s). If any help is needed in determining the ultraviolet resistance of any material, please contact the Factory.

The Hygeaire ® LIND 24-EVO fixture is designed to mount horizontally on a vertical surface, or wall, approximately 6 ½ to 7 feet above the floor.

The Hygeaire ® LIND 24-EVO-2PM fixture includes pendant hardware to suspend fixture from the ceiling. Standard stem pipe length is 18 inches. Other lengths are available, contact the Factory with requirements.

Air Disinfection specifications

UltraViolet Devices (UVDI) specializes in advanced air disinfection technologies that harness the power of ultraviolet (UV) light to enhance indoor air quality and promote safer environments. With increasing concerns over airborne pathogens and pollutants, UVDI offers innovative solutions that cater to various settings, including hospitals, schools, and commercial facilities.

One of the main features of UVDI's air disinfection systems is their use of UV-C light, a segment of the ultraviolet spectrum known for its germicidal properties. UV-C light efficiently inactivates a broad range of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and mold spores. This technology provides an effective layer of defense against the spread of airborne illnesses, making it pivotal in healthcare settings where infection control is paramount.

UVDI employs cutting-edge technologies in its air disinfection products. For instance, the UVDI-360® Disinfection System utilizes a combination of UV-C light and advanced airflow engineering to ensure maximum exposure of air contaminants to the disinfecting light. This design allows for optimal air circulation, resulting in thorough disinfection of the air within a room or building. Additionally, UVDI’s products are engineered to be compatible with existing HVAC systems, making implementation seamless and efficient.

Another significant characteristic of UVDI’s air disinfection systems is their ongoing efficacy and low maintenance requirements. The company uses high-intensity UV-C lamps that have a long operational lifespan, ensuring consistent performance over time. Moreover, UVDI provides monitoring solutions that allow users to track system performance and ensure that air disinfection is being maintained at the required levels.

UVDI also emphasizes safety in its designs. The UV-C technology used is focused on air but does not pose risks to human health when used correctly in controlled environments. The systems are designed with user-friendly interfaces, making it easy for facility managers to operate and maintain them.

In conclusion, UltraViolet Devices is a leader in air disinfection solutions, combining powerful UV-C technology with innovative engineering to create effective and reliable systems for improving indoor air quality. With a strong focus on health and safety, UVDI continues to play a vital role in the fight against airborne pathogens, ensuring cleaner and safer environments for everyone.
