Place unit in opening and temporarily fasten hinge jamb. Do not fasten through brickmold.

Single Units

Fasten hinge jamb.

All screws used should be exterior grade to prevent rusting and staining.

For single or double doors, note hinge locations and mark jamb faces near door surface. Pre drill 1/8” dia. holes

for screw placement later. 8/0 units will have 4 hinges verses 3 hinges for 6/8 units.

Lift unit up. With top edge tilted away from opening, center unit and place sill down onto caulk beads or sill pan.

Tilt into place.

Work from the side of the door that is weatherstripped. (Outside for inswing doors, inside for outswing doors)

Plumb hinge side jamb both ways. Use 6 foot level. Use #8 2-1/2” or 3” screws . Place screws through jamb into studs, at each location where shown in diagrams. For single or double doors, place screw at each hinge location, so that shims may be placed behind hinges. Screws will keep shims from falling down while adjustments are made. For sidelite units see illustration below for screw placement.

Do not drive screws completely in at this time.

on hinge side of door. Fasten jamb on fixed or passive side of door.

Todos los sujetadores que se utilicen en exteriores deben ser recubiertos o galvanizados, para evitar que se oxiden o se manchen.

Para unidades de una o dos puertas, senale la ubicacion de las bisagras y marque las caras del marco cerca de la superficie` de la puerta, para colocar posteriormente los sujetadores.

Levante la puerta. Con el borde superior inclinado hacia afuera de la abertura, centre la puerta y coloque el umbral sobre las bolas de masilla. Empuje para encajar la puerta en su lugar.

Trabaje desde el lado de la puerta con la tira para intemperie (el exterior para el caso de las puertas que abren hacia adentro y el interior para el caso de las puertas que abren hacia afuera).

Mida que este`a plomo el marco de la puerta con bisagras en ambos sentidos. Utilice para ello un nivel de 6 pies..

Utilice tornillos de 3” o clavos para acabados d10. Coloque dos sujetadores a traves de los marcos insertandolos en los refuerzos, en cada uno de los sitios que se senalan en los diagramas. Para unidades de una o dos puertas, consulte las marcas en los marcos de las puertas y coloque los sujetadores debajo de la ubicacion de caada bisagra, de manera que puedan colocarse calzas destras de las bisagras. Los sujetadores evitaran que se caigan la calzas mientras se hacen los ajustes.

No inserte totalmente los tornillos o clavos en este momento.
