Step 4.3 Performing final check and trial operation

1Check the following:

Strength of the installation site

Tightness of pipe connection to detect gas leak

Electric wiring connection

Heat-resistant insulation of the pipe

Drainage

Grounding conductor connection

Correct operation (Take the following steps.)

2Press the (Power) button on the remote control to check the following:

The indicator on the indoor unit lights up.

The airflow blade opens and the fan gears up for operation.

3Press the (Mode) button to select Cool or Heat mode. Then take the following sub-steps:

In Cool mode, use the Temperature button to set the set temperature to 16 °C.

In Heat mode, use the Temperature button to set the set temperature to 30 °C.

Check whether, approximately 3 to 5 minutes later, the outdoor unit starts, and a cool or warm air blows out.

After 12 minutes of stationary condition, check the indoor unit air treatment.

4Press the (Air swing) button to check whether the airflow blades work properly.

5Press the (Power) button to stop the trial operation.

Pumping down refrigerant

Pump-down is an operation intended to collect all the system refrigerant in the outdoor unit. This operation must be carried out before disconnecting the refrigerant tubing in order to avoid refrigerant loss to the atmosphere.

1Shut off the liquid valve with the Allen wrench.

2Turn on the air conditioner in cooling with fan operating at high velocity. (Compressor will immediately start, provided 3 minutes have elapsed since the last stop.)

3After 2 minutes of operation, shut the suction valve with the same wrench.

4Turn off the air conditioner and switch mains supply off.

5Disconnect tubing. After disconnection, protect valves and tubing ends from dust.

CAUTION

Compressor damage may occur if the compressor is run at a negative suction pressure.

Pumping down for removing the product

1Hold down the (Power) button on the indoor unit for 5 seconds. Beep sounds immediately to indicate that the product is ready for pump down procedure.

2Let the compressor run for more than 5 minutes.

3Release the valve caps on High and Low pressure side.

4Use L-wrench to close the valve on the high pressure side.

5After approximately 1 minute, close the valve on the low pressure side.

6Stop operation of the air conditioner by pressing the (Power) button on the indoor unit or remote control.

7Disconnect the pipes.

AR12HSSDPWKNEE, AR09HSSDPWKNEE specifications

The Samsung AR09HSSDPWKNEE and AR12HSSDPWKNEE are part of Samsung's high-efficiency air conditioning lineup, designed to provide superior comfort while ensuring energy savings. These models are particularly popular for their advanced technologies and user-friendly features, making them ideal for residential and small commercial spaces.

One of the standout features of both models is the Digital Inverter Technology. This innovative technology maintains the desired temperature without the constant on-and-off cycling typical of conventional air conditioning units. As a result, these units provide a more stable cooling experience, while significantly reducing energy consumption. The Digital Inverter also helps in minimizing wear and tear, leading to increased lifespan and reduced maintenance needs.

The AR09HSSDPWKNEE and AR12HSSDPWKNEE are equipped with the Triple Protector Plus technology, which offers enhanced durability and reliability. This feature protects the compressor and provides safety against voltage fluctuations. Additionally, the units are designed to operate in extreme weather conditions, ensuring consistent performance even in high temperatures or low-voltage situations.

Another notable feature is the Fast Cooling mode. This allows the air conditioner to cool the room quickly to the desired temperature, making it incredibly convenient during hot weather. The units also come with a Quiet Mode, which minimizes noise levels, making them suitable for bedrooms or quiet spaces.

Energy efficiency is a critical characteristic of these models. With high energy efficiency ratings, they help in lowering electricity bills while being environmentally friendly. The units are also designed to be eco-conscious, with R32 refrigerant, which has a lower global warming potential than traditional refrigerants.

In terms of user interface, the AR09HSSDPWKNEE and AR12HSSDPWKNEE come with a sleek and intuitive remote control, allowing users to manage settings conveniently from anywhere in the room. Additionally, they feature a filtration system that improves indoor air quality by removing dust and allergens, creating a healthier living environment.

Overall, the Samsung AR09HSSDPWKNEE and AR12HSSDPWKNEE air conditioners combine cutting-edge technology, efficiency, and user-friendly features, making them an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their home’s comfort while keeping energy costs in check.
