6Press STOP on the front panel to end playback, or press twice on your DCP501 remote control.

The DVD navigation menu may be displayed on the TV/monitor if the current Source is DVD/CD.

If the DVD player was in resume mode, the DVD starts playing at the point where it was stopped and the navigation menu is not displayed.

Some DVDs require you to press STOP () before you can press MENU to display the navigation menu. Other DVDs immediately start a movie without showing the navigation menu.

During DVD playback, pressing MENU stops DVD playback and brings up the DVD navigation menu. A DVD navigation menu allows you to view the special features recorded on the DVD, such as scene select, play the movie from the menu, language selection, and other special features.

Resume Play

To use the resume play feature:

1 Press SOURCE to change to D V D / C D mode. If no disc is present, the message N O D I S C is displayed.

2Press the OPEN CLOSE on the front panel to open the loader and insert a disc.

3Press OPEN CLOSE again to close the loader.

4To begin playback, press PLAY PAUSE on the front panel, or right arrow play button (►) on

your DCP501 remote control and the play icon is displayed.

5Press STOP on the DCP501 front panel or on the DCP501 remote control and R E S U M E displays on your TV. The DCP501 stays in this mode until you turn the DCP501 off or want to resume playback mode as described in the next step. Resume Play mode stops a DVD or CD and allows you to continue playback later from where you left off unless you turn off the DCP501.

6Press PLAY PAUSE on the DCP501 front panel or right arrow (►) on the remote control to resume playback.

7Press stop on the DCP501 front panel or on DCP501 remote control twice to end playback.
