Adjusting the suction

(for models with a suction power selec- tor)

The suction power can be adjusted de- pending on the type of flooring.

The symbols on the controls indicate the type of use the settings are suitable for.

a= curtains, lightweight fabrics

b= upholstery, cushions

c= thick pile carpets, rugs and run- ners

d= for energy-saving daily use

e= lightly soiled textured carpets

f= textured hard flooring, and for in- tensive cleaning of carpets

The controls vary from model to model. These are described on the following pages.
