UVS27 Vent-Free Gas Heater

Catalytic Combustor

The combustor should be cleaned annually to ensure optimal performance. Follow the procedure below.

Remove the Combustor Module

1.Be sure the heater is COLD.

2.Remove the screws and washers holding the com- bustor in place. Lift combustor up and out.

Clean the Combustor Module

1.Clean the outer surface of the filter with the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner to remove loose dirt.

2.Submerge the filter in a mild soapy water solution. Rinse thoroughly with distilled water.

3.Replace in heater when dry.

Replace the Combustor Module

1.Replace combustor on top of firebox.

2.Secure with screws and washers removed earlier. Refer to Page 11, Figure 15.
