About the ENERGY SAVE
The air conditioner saves energy costs by controlling the thermostat temperature setting.
*During Heating operation:
The thermostat temperature setting decreases by 2 °F as soon as the ENERGY SAVE button is pressed, and then de- creases by another 2 °F every thirty minutes.
In this manner, energy is saved by continuing to heat at a thermostat temperature of 8 °F less than the setting.
During Cooling/Dry operation:
The thermostat temperature setting increases by 2 °F as soon as the ENERGY SAVE button is pressed, and then increases by another 2 °F after one hour has passed.
In this manner, energy is saved by continuing to cool or dry at a thermostat temperature of 4 °F more than the setting.
