Chapter 2: Prepare the Site

Safety Requirements

If not properly installed and maintained, electrical circuitry equipment like the TippingPoint X-Series can pose dangers to both personnel and equipment. To prevent accidents, adhere to the following guidelines to ensure general safety:

Remove any dust from the area and keep the area around the TippingPoint X-Series system clear and dust-free during and after installation.

Wear safety glasses if you are working under conditions that might be hazardous to your eyes.

There are no serviceable parts inside.

Class A Notices

The following notices apply to the X505 and X506, which are Class A devices.

Note: This Class A digital apparatus meets all requirements of the Canadian

Interference-Causing Equipment Regulations.
