3Operation

3.1Callback

The callback feature allows an operator at a monitoring station to call a DFT0100 transmitter on site and configure the unit to automatically call them back, ensuring that the telephone call is charged to the transmitting and not the receiving site.

On sending a callback request, the monitoring station disconnects and waits for the transmitting site to call back. With callback enabled, connection time is approximately twice that of normal connection time.

3.2Alarms Feature

The alarm system for the DFT0150 transmitter allows the unit to freeze the pictures from cameras that correspond with the alarm inputs that have been triggered. These pictures are then transmitted to a receiving station where they can be acknowledged and the relevant action taken.

On an alarm the transmitter will automatically call the telephone number stored in telephone entry 0.

If this number is busy then it will call the number stored in telephone entry 1. The maximum number of telephone entries can be set between 1 and 16.

If the fall back numbers are busy the transmitter will automatically keep calling between telephone entries 0 and 1 until one becomes free. However the user can configure the DFT0150 to automatically call upto four numbers unitl one becomes free.

Depending on how the transmitter has been configured, incoming alarms are handled in different ways.
