Setting Oven Controls

Setting Preheat

The PREHEAT_ pad controls the Preheat feature. The Preheat feature will bring the oven up to temperature and then

indicate when to place the food in the oven. Use this feature when recipes call for preheating. Preheating is not necessary when roasting or cooking casseroles. The oven can be programmed to preheat at any temperature between 170°F to 550°F (77°C to 288°C).

INSTRUCTIONS

To set the Preheat temperature for 375°F

1.Arrange the interior oven racks.

2.Press_. "350"willappear,"UPPER"and"BAKE"willflashin the display (Figure 1).

and "BAKE" stop flashing and remain in

the display. "PRE" will appear in the display. The oven icon appears in the display showing the bake, broil and convection elements cycling. Also the convection fan will turn on to help the oven reaching the desired temperature faster (Figures 3 & 4).

Note: After the oven has reached the desired temperature (this example, 375°F) a beep will be heard indicating this is time to PLACE FOOD IN THE OVEN, the convection element will turn off and the display will show "375 °''(Figure 5). The oven will continue to operate in a Bake mode.

Press (_ when baking is complete or to cancel the preheat featu re.

To change Preheat temperature while oven is

preheating (example: changing from 375 to 425°F)

if it is necessary to change the preheat temperatu re while the oven is preheating to the original temperatu re:

1. While preheating, press _. "375" will appear, "UPPER" and

"BAKE" will flash, the oven icon will remain in the display (Figure 6).

2.Enter the new preheat temperature. Press @ @ @. @ @ @

"425 °''will appear in the display (Figure 7).

3.Press :::iSTART ::. "UPPER" and "BAKE" stop flashing and remain in

the display. "PRE" will appear in the display until the desired temperature (here, 425°F) is reached (Figure 8). At that time the display will show "425 °''A. long beep will sound once the oven temperature reaches 425°F.

4. When baking is complete press _.

Note: While in preheat mode, the convection fan will be activated

 

during the first rise of temperature to allow the oven to reach its target

 

temperature faster.
