PROBLEM SOLVING

NOTE: Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the electrical cord before servicing.

PROBLEM		CAUSE	SOLUTION
Motor won’t start	✓	Electric plug	Push plug securely into
			outlet.
			Try another outlet.
			Check circuit breaker.
	✓	Power switch not	Make sure power switch is
		turned “ON”	“ON.”
No suction at end of	✓	Full paper bag	Replace paper bag.
hose	✓	Hose	Remove any clogs from
			hose that restrict airflow,
			then try again.
	✓	Front cover not	Push front cover until it
		latched	latches firmly.
Reduced suction	✓	Full paper bag	Replace paper bag.
	✓	Slip ring open	Rotate slip ring on wand
			until hole is covered.
	✓	Hose	Remove any clogs from
			hose that restrict airflow,
			then try again.
Cleaner shuts off	✓	Internal safety	Unplug cleaner and check
		thermostat trips	for obstructions in hose,
			wands and attachments.
			Check for full paper bag.
			Clean/replace motor filter.
	✓	Cord connection at	Check powerhead and hose
		hose	plugs for proper connection.
