Network Aggregation Plan

With 26 parallel bridging ports (i.e., 26 distinct collision domains), a switch can collapse a complex network down into a single efficient bridged node, increasing overall bandwidth and throughput.

In the figure below, the 10/100/1000BASE-T ports are providing 1000 Mbps connectivity through Layer 2 switches. In addition, the switches are also connecting several servers at 1000 Mbps.
