If a remote control is used, the receiver cannot be placed under the burner. If possible, place the receiver outside the combustion chamber.

If the receiver must be placed in the combustion chamber, the protective heat shield MUST be used. See Figure 5.

Position receiver on left side of gas log set (opposite the pilot). Place protective heat shield over receiver. See Figure 5.
