Check line voltage. Data indicated on the type plate must match technical data of the mains supply.

The pump must not be operated when there are people in the water.

Swimming pools and garden ponds should be designed accord- ing to international and national design regulations. Please consult a professional electrician.

Do not use the power cable to carry the pump or to pull the plug out of the socket. Protect the power cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.

Please unplug the pump after operation and before carrying out any maintenance works.

The temperature of the liquid used must not be below 4 °C or above 35 °C.

Sand and other abrasive substances in the liquid cause in- creased wear and reduce the output of the pump.

Please observe the local noise prevention regulations.

Fitting the universal

1. Push the sleeve nut over the universal connector.

2. Place the sealing ring in the sleeve nut.

 

3. Screw the universal adapter and sleeve nut onto the pressure

 

joints of the pump.

Positioning the pump

Position the pump on a firm base so that it is at least 20 cm

 

immersed in water.

Please note the maximum submersion depth (see “Technical Data”).

Starting the pump

Connect the power cable to a 230 V AC socket.

 

 

 

A Caution! Pump will start running immediately!

Avoid dry operation

Avoid dry operation of the pump as dry running will produce

 

undesirable heat and destroy the pump.

Operating an external filter

To clean your pond you can connect an external filter such as the

For this purpose use a hose in order to connect the Pump

Operating a stream

The pump has been designed for streams and waterfalls:

.Large streams and waterfalls

Connect a 38 mm (1 1/2 ) GARDENA Pond Hose, Art. No. 7898, and run it to the source of your stream.

.Smaller streams

Connect hoses with a smaller diameter correspondingly e.g.: 32 mm (5/4)-GARDENA Pond Hose, Art. No. 7897

25 mm (1)-GARDENA Pond Hose, Art. No. 7896.

Care Instructions

Cleaning the pump

If you use your pump frequently in dirty water you should clean

 

your pump as follows:

 

1. Remove the mains plug.

 

2.

Take the pump out of the water.

 

3.

Rinse the housing of the pump thoroughly with water.

 

 

If necessary, also direct the water into the pressure outlet.

 

4.

Put the pump back into your pond or stream.

Information: Do not use any hard objects or strong detergents!
