3-5.Threading

When threading the machine from the beginning, threading must be carried out in the following

sequence:

First: Lower loopef threading (A)

Second: Upper looper threading (B)

Finally: Needle threading (C, D)

(1) Lower looper threading (A)

Open front cover. (See Page 2)

Take the thread drawn from the spool and pass it, through guide © of the thread stand and then, in order, through guides ©— ©and thread tension

While pressing down the tension release lever with your right hand, lay thread between thread tension discs with your left hand. (Fig. B)

Bring the lower looper to the far left position by turning handwheel towards you, and pass the

thread through lower looper thread guide (Fig C)

Hook thread around part S from back to front as

illustrated.

Then, move the lower looper slightly to the right by turning the handwheel towards you.

Thread the hole of the lower looper 9 . using tweezers.

Cut the thread leaving about 10cm (4”) of spare thread. (Fig. D)
